Ensuring you receive important email notifications is essential for maintaining clear communication and providing excellent service. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up these notifications so they reach you effectively.
Accessing the Email Settings:
- Navigate to Settings > Communications > Email Settings.
- For general settings, add an email address in the Notify Addresses field. Once added, you will receive a copy of every email sent to customers (e.g., order/enquiry confirmation, registration confirmation, etc.) at the email address(es) entered in this field.
- After making changes, don't forget to click the SAVE button.
TIP
If you wish to send notifications to multiple email addresses, simply separate each address with a semicolon (;
).
Comments on the Screenshot Above:
- To include PDFs in your notifications (just like the customer receives), check the box labeled "Attach order summary PDF to E-mail notification" If the customer receives an attached PDF, you will receive it as well.
- We recommend adding the name of your webshop in the Sender Name field. This makes the notification easily recognizable to your customers.
- To specify a reply-to address for customer responses, input it in the Reply-To Address field.
- You can send a test email to any address using a chosen template and language. This allows you to preview how different email templates will appear to your customers.
These are general settings for all email templates. However, the Notify Addresses, Reply-To Address, and Sender Name fields can be customized for specific templates in the E-mail templates section.
After making the necessary changes, make sure to click on the "SAVE" button.
PLEASE TAKE ATTENTION
Once you add an address to the Notify Addresses field, you will not be able to send a test email to it because SendGrid blocks such emails. To test the email, temporarily remove the address from the Notify Addresses field, send the test email, and then re-add the address to the field.
