Payment methods

Payment methods are a key part of your webshop, making it complete and ready for sales. Configuring these payment methods is very easy in TronShop and can be done in just a few clicks.

Go to Settings > Shopping > Shipping & Payments section and use the tabs at the top to switch to the Payments subsection. You can add new payment methods using the “+” button.

To add a new payment method, you will be asked to fill in the following basic information:

Mandatory:  

• Name - Name of the payment method
• VAT - VAT rate for the method

Optional:

• Payment processing provider - This option is used for binding a payment gateway that is already connected to your TronShop in the Settings > Integrations > Online payments section. You can find more information here: Integration With Online Payment Systems
   

Once the payment method is created, you need to finish its configuration. Press the Edit button to complete the settings.

There are optional and mandatory settings:

Mandatory:

• Prices - Here you can set the price for using the method.

  PLEASE PAY ATTENTION

  The price for a specific payment method must always be defined — even if the method is intended to be "FREE", a value of zero must be entered. Without this setting, the payment method will not be available in your TronShop!

  

   

• Deliveries - Associated delivery methods. Remember that customers will select delivery methods first. If no payment method is assigned to a delivery method, customers will not be able to complete their order. Likewise, if no delivery method is assigned to a payment method, that payment method cannot be used.

Optional:

• Payment method description - You can set a description for the method in all languages available in your TronShop. This will be visible during payment method selection by the customer.
   
• Icon - You can choose an icon for the payment method that will be displayed during payment selection in TronShop. Icons are selected from files saved in Files and Images.
