Bring TronDesigner to your TronShop

This article introduces the TronDesigner integration in TronShop – what it adds, what your customers can do, and what you can do from the admin portal. It's intended for shop administrators.

By the end, you'll understand how designs flow through your shop, and where to go to turn the integration on and configure it.

What you can do with the integration

TronDesigner gives you a full print design workflow inside TronShop – for your own team and for your customers. You can prepare designs yourself and generate proofs and print data files, open designing to customers as far as you choose, and see the state of every design before an order moves.

🖌️Prepare designs yourself

Create a print job on any order from your admin portal – including orders where your customer never designed. 

Or order items that didn't have printing at all.

Once a print job is created on an item, the following options are available.

The integration can work fully as an admin-only tool as well. When you send the order for confirmation, your customer can download the same visual proof from their order.

Set up how much freedom you allow for your customers. The following options can be configured in settings.

What your customers can do with the integration

Once TronDesigner is active, your customers get a real design experience in your shop.

🛒 Design as part of buying

The most common path. Your customer prices the print in the TronCalculator, designs within exactly what they priced, and checks out – with the finished design on their order.

They can also price now and design later; the button waits in the cart. Designing is never required unless you choose it. A customer can upload just a logo, or order with neither – you handle the print setup afterward, as you do today.

🎨 Get a visual proof without buying

For a customer who just wants to see their idea. They create a design and download a visual proof to keep or share – for example, emailing it to their team for approval.

The proof is a file they take with them. It doesn't go into the cart or attach to an order. To order, they design again through "Calculate & Buy".

👕 Visualize a logo on shop products

*Available with the Visualization add-on. Your customers upload their logo once and see it placed on your products across the shop – no design step needed.

Visualization and design work independently. A shop can use both, and the add-on isn't required to design – the Editor, print jobs, and visual proofs all work without it.

Where the integration fits in your workflow

Nothing about your existing process changes. Pricing still happens in TronCalculator, exactly as it does today. Print Data is still what goes to your supplier – the print job doesn't replace it, it fills it in. And your existing orders are untouched: switching TronDesigner on never rewrites or migrates anything you've already got.

If you don't use the integration on a particular order, it stays out of the way – that order behaves exactly as it does today.

Your shop runs one visualization tool at a time, or none: TronLogo OR TronDesigner. Switching between them preserves your logo data in both directions, and switching TronDesigner off never deletes a design: your print jobs stay in TronDesigner, turning it back on reconnects everything automatically.

What you need

• An active TronShop.
• A valid TronDesigner license.
• TronCalculator active on your shop – pricing happens there, so the integration needs it.
• Optionally, the Visualization add-on, if you want your customers' logos displayed on your product images.
• Optionally, TronAPI, if you want to send purchase orders smoothly to the connected suppliers.
