Discount Coupons

Within the TronShop Admin Settings, under the Marketing section, you'll discover options for Discount Coupons and the New Visitor feature. The Discount Coupons function operates in the traditional manner, allowing customers to apply coupons in their shopping cart to receive discounts.

Meanwhile, the New  Visitor feature is unique, presenting a pop-up to users visiting your eshop for the first time, offering them a discount.

Discount Coupons

To oversee discount coupons, navigate in TronShop Admin Pontal to Marketing > Discount Coupons.

This section allows you to view and oversee all your discount coupons, including options to Create, Edit, or Delete them.

At the top of the page, you'll find a toggle button to activate or deactivate this feature in your shop. Thus, if you wish to enable or disable this functionality, be sure to review these settings first.

Creating a new coupon

You can create two types of coupons, a coupon with Fixed Value or a coupon with Percentage value.

Fixed Value Coupon

Fixed value coupon has a fixed value in your shop’s default currency with selected vat rate. To create this coupon there are several fields that needs to be filled in:

1. Name (The name of the coupon - It will be shown to the customer after applying a coupon in his shopping cart)
2. State (Active, Suspended, Terminated, Deleted)
3. Code (max 10 character long code, that you can either type yourself or generate)
4. Type (Fixed Value / Percentage Value)
5. Value (The amount in shop’s default currency)
6. VAT Rate (Vat rate that will be applied to the coupon’s value)

Percentage Value Coupon

Percentage value has only a value in percentage, the exact value of coupon will be calculated after applying coupon in cart.

1. Name (The name of the coupon - It will be shown to the customer after applying a coupon in his shopping cart)
2. Sate (Active, Suspended, Terminated, Deleted)
3. Code (max 10 character long code, that you can either type yourself or generate)
4. Type (Fixed Value / Percentage Value)
5. Value (The amount in shop’s default currency)
6. Validity of the discount (The coupon will be valid from [start date] to [end date]. It will expire afterward.)
7. Max usage limit (set the maximum amount of using the coupon). The coupon can be used 1 time for order at maximum. There is no limitation for the users.

Discount Coupon Icon

To change the icon of discount coupons which is displayed in the shopping cart go to TronShop Admin Portal. Navigate to Content > Files & Images and in the “Layout” folder find an image called “Discount Coupon Icon”. You can change this image or upload your own.
