Currency settings – PromoTron Solutions a.s.

This article will guide you through the process of adding a new currency to your shop and customizing its display format.

The PromoTron platform allows you to add various currencies to your shop with exchange rates that you set. Additionally, you can customize how these currencies are displayed in your shop. The number of currencies you can use depends on your license.



PLEASE TAKE ATTENTION

Do not forget to click the SAVE button at the bottom of the CURRENCY EDITOR after adding or editing a currency. Then, start synchronization by clicking the Synchronize data button located in the Products Suppliers tab of your TronAdmin.

Navigate to`Settings > Environment > Currencies`

Adding a new currency

Here you can find SHOP LICENSE OVERVIEW, where you can check the current status of currency slots available for your license. To add a new one you need to have at least one available

Click on the “+” button, this will open CURRENCY EDITOR

Please note that the primary currency cannot have a fixed exchange rate. All prices are calculated using the actual daily exchange rate based on the rates provided by the Czech National Bank.

Editing existing currency

Click on the “pen” button, this will open CURRENCY EDITOR

From dropping down the menu pick currency in case you are adding a new one.

1.CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATE:
*This field is not available in editing of primary currency

Here you should set the exchange rate to your primary currency. All prices in your shop will be recalculated based on this rate as soon as the user changes it in Currency selector

2.CURRENCY FORMATTING:

Here you can customize the decimal and thousand separators used for displaying any price in your shop.

In the following sections, you can make customizations of price displaying in different parts of the shop

All sections below contain 4 possible fields:

Prefix: symbol displayed before price e.g. € 15
Total Digits: should be set to 1
Decimal Digits: quantity of digits to be displayed after decimal
Suffix: symbol displayed before price e.g. 15 €

In case you want to use such a format in all places of your shop you can click on APPLY TO ALL, which will automatically copy settings to all fields.

Click on Check format button will display a preview of how the price will appear with the current settings.

3.DETAIL PRICE

The detailed price is shown in the cart summary item price and product detail

4.SHORT PRICE

The short price is shown in the quantity discount table for the product

5.ROUNDED PRICE

The rounded price is shown next to the cart icon in the header of your shop and the cart summary in the Total price

6.PRICE RANGE

In case you prick the option for displaying the prices as a price range in Price range settings will be applied to it in product detail and on the product card
