This article will help you understand which structured data your TronShop publishes for search engines and how to check it
Structured data is a short, machine-readable description of a page that search engines read alongside the page itself. It tells Google in a standard format (schema.org, published as JSON-LD) what the page is about: “this is a product, this is its price, this is the company behind the shop”. Google can use it for the site name in search results, breadcrumbs under your result, and product details such as price and availability.
TronShop publishes structured data automatically. There are no settings to switch on. It is built from the information you already keep in the admin, so the main thing you can do is keep that information complete and correct.

What TronShop publishes
| Page | Structured data |
| Homepage | The website (WebSite, with a search action when your shop has a search page) and your company (Organization) |
| Category pages | A collection page (CollectionPage) with the list of products shown on that page, and breadcrumbs (BreadcrumbList) |
| Product pages | An item page (ItemPage) with the product (Product: name, description, code, brand, image, price and availability), and breadcrumbs |
| Other content pages | A web page (WebPage) and breadcrumbs |
All blocks on a page are connected to each other (the page belongs to the website, the item page points to its product and its breadcrumbs), so search engines read them as one description.
Homepage: your website and your company
The homepage describes your website and your company. The information comes from Settings → Basic Information → Contacts:
| Published as | Where it comes from |
| Website and company name | Official shop name |
| Registered legal name | Headquarters (Billing Address) → Company |
| VAT ID and tax ID | VAT ID and Tax ID in the Headquarters (Billing Address) section, when filled in |
| Address | Headquarters (Billing Address); the Branch Office address is used only when there is no headquarters address |
| E-mail and phone | Your shop’s primary contact e-mail and phone |
| Logo | Your shop logo |
If your shop has a search page, the website block also describes how to search your shop (a SearchAction).
PLEASE TAKE ATTENTION
Without an Official shop name, the homepage publishes neither the website nor the company block. Check that the name, the Company and the address in Settings → Basic Information → Contacts are complete and match your registered company.
Category pages
A category page is described as a collection of products. The products shown on that page of the category are listed with their name, link and position, together with the breadcrumbs that lead to the category.
When a visitor filters or re-sorts the category, that view gets no structured data (see Pages without structured data). Only the normal category pages are described.
Product pages
A product page is described as an item page with the product and its breadcrumbs. The product contains:
- name, description and product code
- GTIN (EAN) when the product has one
- brand; when the product has no brand, your shop name is used
- the main product image
- price and availability. For products with quantity tiers, every tier is published with the quantity it applies to.
Price and availability are left out when the visitor cannot see them on the page:
• Terminated products that your shop still displays (see Terminated Products Display) show no price and no buy button, so they do not publish a price or availability either. Google would otherwise report information in the markup that is not visible on the page.
• In shops that work in quotation mode and hide prices (from everyone, or from visitors who are not logged in), no price is published, because search engines see the page as a visitor who is not logged in.
Pages without structured data
Some pages are not meant for search results, so TronShop publishes no structured data on them:
- cart and checkout pages, order confirmation
- login, registration and password-reset pages
- search results
- customer profile, addresses, contacts and orders
- filtered or re-sorted category views
- “page not found” and “product not found” pages
- any page you have set to Exclude from search engines (noindex)
Ratings and reviews are not published on any page.
What SEO tools may report
The company block (Organization) is published only on the homepage, where Google recommends placing it. Some SEO tools and audits check each page separately and report “Organization missing” on category or product pages. This is intended and does not need fixing.
The same applies to warnings about missing reviews or ratings on product pages: these fields are optional, and TronShop does not publish them.
How to test your pages
- Open Google’s Rich Results Test.
- Paste the address of a page of your shop, for example your homepage, a category or a product page, and click Test URL.
- Check the detected items. On a product page you should see Product snippets or Merchant listings and Breadcrumbs; on the homepage, Google may detect the organization (logo) information.
- If the test shows a warning about a missing field, check whether that information exists in the admin (for example the GTIN of the product, or the company details under Settings → Basic Information → Contacts).
The Rich Results Test shows only the data Google can use for rich results. To see every block on a page, including the website and company information, paste the same address into the Schema Markup Validator.
TIP
Structured data helps search engines understand your pages, but it is only one part of SEO. For page titles, descriptions and other basics, see the SEO Guide – Basic configuration.
