Product & Category Collections

Collections allow you to create manually selected groups of products or categories and use them in different parts of your TronShop.

For example, Collections are used to define which categories and products are displayed in the Favorite Categories and Bestseller Products sections on your Homepage. Product Collections can also be connected to your own shop categories when you want to display a specific, manually selected assortment of products.

What are Collections?

There are two main types of Collections:

Category Collections
A manually selected group of categories or subcategories. They can be used, for example, to define which categories are displayed in the Favorite Categories section on your Homepage.

Product Collections
A manually selected group of products. They can be used for the Bestseller Products section on your Homepage or connected to your own categories to display a specific selection of products.

To manage Collections, navigate to Marketing > Collections.

Default Homepage Collections

Every TronShop includes two default Collections used by the corresponding sections on the Homepage:

• Homepage Favorite Categories
• Homepage Bestseller Products

These Collections determine which categories and products are displayed in the respective Homepage sections.

Homepage Favorite Categories

The Homepage Favorite Categories Collection determines which categories and/or subcategories are displayed in the corresponding section of your Homepage.

To edit the Collection, click either the pencil icon on the right or the Collection name.

Open the Categories tab and click the “+” button.

The Collection Editor will open. You can either browse through the category tree or use the search field to find the desired category or subcategory by name.
 

Select the categories you want to display and click Save.

 

Homepage Bestseller Products

The Homepage Bestseller Products Collection determines which products are displayed in the corresponding Bestseller Products section on your Homepage.

To edit the Collection, click either the pencil icon on the right or the Collection name.

Open the Products tab and click the “+” button to open the Product Selector.

You can find products by category, supplier, or by using the search field. The search supports part of the product name or the supplier's product code.

To add a product, click the “+” button. Once selected, the product is marked with a green checkmark.

Collection Names and Language Variants

You can define a different Collection title for each language available in your shop. Open the Collection and navigate to the Language Variants tab.
Click the “+” button, enter the Collection title, and select the corresponding language. If your shop supports multiple languages, add a title for each language in which the Collection should be displayed.

 

Creating Your Own Product Collection

In addition to the default Homepage Collections, you can create your own Product Collections.

Navigate to Marketing > Collections, create a new Collection, and open the Products tab.

Click the “+” button to open the Product Selector.

You can find products by category, supplier, product name, or supplier code.

Click the “+” button next to each product you want to add. Successfully selected products are marked with a green checkmark.

When you have finished selecting products, close the Product Selector.

Reordering Products in a Collection

If your Product Collection contains multiple pages, you can move a product directly from one page to another.

1. Locate the destination page number.

2. Drag the product over the desired page number at the bottom of the Collection.

3. Release the product. It will be moved to the selected page, where you can adjust its exact position.

Using a Product Collection in a Category

Product Collections can also be used to manually define which products are displayed in one of your shop categories.

Navigate to Products > Categories, edit the desired category, and open the Product Selection tab.

Select Product Collection, then choose an existing Collection.

 Or create a new one.

Please note that Product Collection is only one of the available product selection methods. You can also use Product selection using filters for dynamic product selection.
