Fill own category with the chosen products
You have the freedom to establish your own category and handpick the products you wish to feature within it.
To begin, initiate the process by creating a fresh category under Products >
Categories
Simply click on the "+" icon, provide a name for the page, and save your selection. For illustration purposes, let's designate the category as "My Custom Category," as shown in the screenshot.
Additionally, you can easily rearrange the category's position using the drag-and-drop feature. Hover your cursor over the six dots located before the category name, then drag and drop it to your preferred location.
Next, proceed to select the products you intend to showcase in this newly created category. Click on the ellipsis (...) located on the right-hand side of the category name, then choose "Edit."
Now, navigate to the "Product Selection" tab and opt for the "Product Collection" option. Afterward, click on "Product Category."
You have two options to proceed:
Option 1: If you have already created the desired collection, simply select it and click "SAVE."
Option 2: In the event you haven't created the desired collection yet, click on the "Create New Collection" button.
If you choose to create a new collection, you'll be redirected to the "Collections" settings:
Click on the "+" button...
A Product Selector will appear. Here, you can filter products by category and/or supplier or search for products by name (e.g., "pen"). Select your desired products by clicking the "+" button.
Successfully chosen products will display a green checkmark in place of the "+" button.
Once you've finished your selection, close the Product Selector. You will return to this screen. If you wish to adjust the order in which the products appear in your shop, simply click the "drag" button and move them to your desired positions.
If your shop supports multiple languages, remember to add language variants by clicking on the "+" button.
Now, return to Products > Categories
click on the ellipsis (...) on the right side of the screen, and select "Edit."
Navigate to the "Product Selection" tab, choose "Product Collection," and select the collection you created earlier.
Finally, go to the "Settings" tab and click "Open in browser."
Congratulations! You can now see your newly created category, featuring the products you've defined within your collection. Well done!
