Q: How do we pin a sitemap to our website?
A: The sitemap.xml file for search engines is generated and inserted to the pages automatically based on the settings in the portal administration, where you can find the URL of this file, see screenshot:
Submit Sitemap Index
- In order for Google to include all the content you have on your website in its index, you need to upload a Sitemap Index file to Google Search Console.
- This file contains links to each sitemap that has been generated within your e-shop.
- To load the Sitemap File Index, enter the term "sitemap.xml" in the "Sitemap URL" field and click the "Submit" button.
- Within a short while, you will be informed whether the Sitemap Index has been processed correctly.
- If it has been uploaded successfully, you can click on it and examine whether the individual sitemaps to which the file refers have also been uploaded successfully.

- Base URL is demoshop.com/sitemap/pages_0.xml
Problems with Sitemap Index File?
If your Sitemap Index File doesn't process all of it's Sitemaps, you can add those Sitemaps into the Google Search Console service manually by entering its URL in the "Sitemap URL" field and click the "Submit" button. For example "demoshop.com/sitemap/categories_0.xml".

Page indexing
- Our system meets strict SEO criteria and therefore generates the site in such a form that the Google bot can easily crawl and index it at the same time.
- This way, Google doesn't need to know URL of all products. These addresses are obtained by crawling the URL of the category to which the product belongs.
- Therefore, we only generate URLs in our sitemap file that are strictly necessary, such as the URLs of all product categories.
- Don't worry if the number of not indexed pages is higher than the amount of indexed pages. The most of them are just duplicities of your products.
